Co je Butejkova metoda?

Named after Dr Konstantin Buteyko, the Buteyko Method consists of a series of breathing exercises and guidelines specifically designed to reduce over-breathing (clinically known as ‘chronic hyperventilation’). The simple fact is that many people breathe too much, which alters the natural levels of gases in the blood, reduces oxygen delivery to tissues and organs, and causes constriction of the smooth muscles surrounding blood vessels and airways. This can lead to numerous health problems. Bringing breathing volume towards normal and making the switch from mouth to nose breathing helps to alleviate such health problems.

breathing pattern is fundamental to all other movement and our

overall health. The function around the mouth and face play a big role

in our brain, taking up to 40% of both the motor and somatosensory cortex.
 

Some of the consequences of bad breathing pattern beside lowering physical performance and general wellbeing might be:

astma, COPD, rinitída, senná rýma, cystická fybrióza, fyzický výkon

Neurologické problémy:

úzkosti, stres, deprese a panické záchvay, vyčerpanost

Vývoj dítěte:

dentální zdraví, poruchy řeči, vývoj čelisti a obličeje, ADHD

Dýchací poruchy během spánku :

nespavost, chrápání, centrální a obstruktivní spánková apnoe

JAK ?

Buteyko coaching process:

 

  1. A 60-minute initial consultation consisting of a history taking, examination of respiratory function, identification of the main focus and goals, study materials, mouth tape
     

  2. An appropriate treatment pathway which will consist of home exercises and 60 -minute follow up appointments, (amount dependent on the case).
