about marcin

Marcin Dochnal is a Doctor of Chiropractic based in Prague and the founder of Roots Health Clinic. He is a husband and father of three. His work is shaped not only by extensive clinical training but also by real-life experience of family, responsibility, and long-term health.

Born in Poland and raised in Canada, Marcin was first introduced to chiropractic at the age of 16 after a sports injury. That experience of seeing how precise, hands-on care could restore movement and confidence set the direction for his professional path.

He later completed his 8 year university education in Canada and the United Kingdom, earning his Master of Chiropractic degree and Doctor of Chiropractic qualification through internationally recognised institutions.

Dr. Marcin Dochnal – chiropraktik Praha

work & professional experience

Marcin Dochnal is a Doctor of Chiropractic with 70,000+ patient visits across multidisciplinary clinical settings in the United Kingdom and the Czech Republic. His work spans everyday musculoskeletal problems—such as back pain, neck pain, headaches, and postural strain—as well as complex cases where symptoms are influenced by multiple factors including movement habits, old injuries, nervous system load, recovery, sleep, and stress.

Before founding Roots Health Clinic in Prague, Marcin worked in busy multidisciplinary clinics in the UK, where patients often arrived after months (or years) of recurring or unresolved symptoms. That environment shaped a clinical style that is calm, thorough, and practical: assess carefully, explain clearly, and build a plan that combines hands-on care with movement rehabilitation so improvements hold outside the clinic—not only on the treatment table.

Marcin is known for supporting cases that don’t fit neatly into one diagnosis. This can include persistent pain patterns, nerve-related symptoms such as radiating pain or tingling, jaw/TMJ tension linked with the neck and posture, and balance or dizziness symptoms where neck function and movement patterns may be relevant. When needed, care is coordinated with the wider Roots team so patients receive the right mix of chiropractic, physiotherapy, massage, and movement support.

sports chiropractic & performance

Marcin has advanced postgraduate training in sports chiropractic and has supported athletes across a wide range of sports and competitive levels—from recreational training and return-to-sport rehab through to elite performance environments. His sports work focuses on restoring joint function, reducing overload patterns, improving movement efficiency, and supporting recovery during intense training blocks and competition.

His experience includes working with or supporting athletes connected to:

  • The World Games

  • USA Hockey World Championship level (2025) — including athletes who went on to win gold

  • Premier League football

  • NHL-level athletes

  • World Powerlifting Championship level competitors

  • Jiu-jitsu championship competitors

  • Providing care ringside at a sumo event

testimonials

Patients often come to Roots after weeks or years of recurring pain, failed “quick fixes,” or uncertainty about what’s actually causing the problem. Here are a few words from people who have worked with Dr. Marcin Dochnal.

"Very rarely meet a specialist who looks for the cause of the problem."

A doctor who is willing to go beyond the boundaries of his field or is so dedicated to the field that he can offer a comprehensive view and recommendations is rare! Dr. Marcin is one of those. I can highly recommend a visit to this specialist!
